Dr. Kimberly A. Barchard

Dr. Kimberly A. Barchard earned her honors degree in psychology with a minor in statistics in 1993. She completed her PhD in Psychometrics in 2001 and then joined the Psychology Department at UNLV.

Her current research focuses on two areas. First, she examines the effects of data point censoring on bivariate and multivariate relations and explores the effectiveness of methods that correct for censoring. Second, she designs measures of psychological variables related to climate change and assists in the design of studies to understand and solve environmental problems.

In the classroom, she teaches statistics and psychometrics. In her research lab, she mentors students on their research, writing, and leadership skills.
